Jean Marc De Boulet challenges the champion
“I will do my best to upset Mr. Mc Leish in 2010!”
It started like a nice talk with an account of how he was able to do so well in the Urban Challenge. He had people lapping up every word that fell from his lips, he interjected with some really relevant snippets of humor that had the audience smiling, sometime laughing out loud or sometime falling down laughing.
As a debutant his story was really compelling, it has the kind of honesty, integrity and with that some-what innocence that was fresh and fitted just right into the evening’s proceedings.
He told about the friendship and support he developed with Gilford Mornix of GHL during the Challenge, he even did some shameless advertising for Mornix offering his services as a manager and coach to anyone who may need it.
There were some little nuggets of wisdom:
1. In pursuing a goal there are many avenues you could take, but is only one way you could follow.
2. And is only sometimes you might go through with something on your own and you may do good – but when you are getting support from people around you, that where the real success come in.
The medals he received from CariFin as identifying he placed in the top three at the end of each of the Challenges, he said was the first ever he received and they meant a lot to him.
A nice, enticing speech filled with all the pleasantries, you would expect from a well mannered young man, but as he was about to finish in as smooth and confident a voice he could find he threw down the gauntlet, he let it be know that he was able to take up the challenge, he was able to challenge the leader for the number one position.
That all the possible hand holding from Mornix had serve it purpose, the nurturing had it place… but it was time for the real competitor in him to awake and stake a claim to the financial services most prestigious athletic event.
It was not something that you could have foreseen from the rather shaky or tentative start. Those comments - “I will do my best to upset Mr. Mc Leish in 2010!”
Rocked the house, it caused some immense applause to the suggestion, to the bravado. It served as a good end to his delivery.

This is the 2nd First Citizens man to throw down a challenge to win Carifin for the next year. The first man from Grande KESTON GABRIEL failed miserable.... Could Jean Marc de Boulet make the difference.
